**Status** in planeus helps you track progress across all levels of your planning, ensuring you always know what’s happening — from high-level projects down to individual tasks.

# What statuses can a Planning Object have?

Every Planning Object in planeus has a **status** that shows where it stands in the planning or production process.

Here are the possible statuses:

| **Status** | Symbol |

# How do statuses affect each other?

planeus links Planning Objects in a **hierarchy**. This means that the status of higher-level objects often depends on what happens to the lower-level ones.

The same logic applies to **all **Planning Object hierarchies.
Following are some examples:

| Workstep 1 | Scheduled |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Workstep 2 | Scheduled |
| Workstep 3 | Scheduled |
| **Production Order** | Shows\: ***Scheduled*** |

When all Work Steps are **Scheduled**, the Production Order is also **Scheduled**.

| Workstep 1 | Completed |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Workstep 2 | |
| Workstep 3 | Scheduled |
| **Production Order** | Shows\: ***S******tarted*** |

If at least one Work Step has **Started **or is **Paused**, the Production Order is **Started**.

| Workstep 1 | Completed |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Workstep 2 | Completed |
| Workstep 3 | Scheduled |
| **Production Order** | Shows\: ***S******tarted*** |

If some Work Steps are already **Completed** and the remaining ones are still **Scheduled**, the production order is also **Started**.

| Workstep 1 | Completed |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| Workstep 2 | Completed |
| Workstep 3 | Completed |
| **Production Order** | Shows\: ***Completed********* |

When all Work Steps are **Completed**, the Production Order is **Completed**.

| Workstep 1 | Completed |

If one Work Step is **Interrupted**, the Production Order is **Interrupted**.

| Workstep 1 | Completed |

Even if another Work Step has already **Started **or is **Paused**, the Production Order is still **Interrupted **when one Work Step is **Interrupted**.
