the resource priority feature lets you decide which resources should be used first within a resource group this way, planeus can automatically pick the best resource for the job based on your priorities where to find it you’ll find the resource priorities tab in the master data menu how resource priority works? resource priorities are set using numbers 1 = highest priority higher numbers mean lower priority you can assign the same priority number to multiple resources in the same group if you want them to share the workload equally if you leave the priority field empty, that resource is treated as having the lowest priority in the group how planeus schedules with resource priority? planeus will always first schedule work on the highest priority resource that resource will be loaded with work until it reaches capacity or the delivery date is covered if there’s still work left, planeus moves on to the next resource with the next highest priority resources with the same priority if two or more resources have the same priority, planeus splits the work between them to keep them equally occupied—assuming the delivery dates can still be met if a technology uses several resources that each have different priorities, planeus tries to calculate the best combination to meet the schedule this may take a bit longer during planning because it’s working out the optimal resource usage resource priorities help you make sure your most efficient or preferred resources are always used first, keeping your operations running smoothly and efficiently
