Navigating in the Gantt Chart

zooming in & out on gannt chart to zoom in in gantt chart press ctrl + mouse wheel up to zoom out in gantt chart press ctrl + mouse wheel down gray area white areas → resources are available gray areas → times when resources are unavailable (like weekends or maintenance) moving a work step into a gray zone automatically extends the duration to avoid conflicts moving & editing docid\ k drlgrixqpadh7ojekt7 us jumping to details click on a production order (the grey bar under your production process) and instantly switch to the manufacturing plan view for detailed info on that order centering your view click on an item name in the y axis and planeus will put that order item in the center of your visible gantt area opening detail panel double click any planning object → opens the detail panel with further details and navigation options from there, you can jump between related objects in your plan navigating within a production process return to process level planning in manufacturing plan view, click on the production process (the grey colored bar) the order item’s detail panel will pop up click on return to process in the header it will bring your back to the relevant position in timeline moving between work steps method 1 in manufacturing plan view, click on the production process (the grey colored bar) the order item’s detail panel will pop up scroll down to see the work steps click on a work step will bring you directly to that work step on gantt chart method 2 click on a work step in gantt chart and its detail panel will pop up use the predecessor / successor buttons to quickly navigate between work steps in the same technology for your article deleting planning objects click the three dot icon next to a planning object → click delete to remove it reading the tool tips hover your mouse over a planning object → it will show a tool tip with quick info symbols in the gantt chart you can view the meaning of the symbols in the gantt chart via the information icon the three month rule the gantt chart shows only data from the past three months hence, it’s not possible to jump from the planning object lists into the gantt view for entries older than three months working together in the gantt chart if someone else is working on the same project in the gantt chart, you will receive a notification so you’re aware of parallel changes let these handy tools help you work faster, stay organized, and collaborate effectively!
