Setting up filters

in planeus, you havefiltering tools to control what you see in the gantt charts for both manufacturing planning and the timeline view time period filter the gantt chart will only show the data for the time period you’ve selected you can set your own custom time range to focus on a specific period standard time period the standard time period for timeline and manufacturing planning can be configured under administration > settings reset time period click reset time period to return to your default settings how time period works if a project falls anywhere within your selected time period , planeus will show all its relevant planning objects (like orders, work steps, etc ) however you’ll only see planning objects that overlap with your chosen time period anything outside the time range stays hidden unless you expand your view to include more dates filtering in gantt chart filters let you focus on exactly what you need to see how to use filters click the filter icon to open the filter panel if a filter is already active, the icon will turn blue filters will always apply to timeline view order gantt chart in manufacturing planning saving filters click save filter to store your custom filter saved filters appear in a drop down menu for easy reuse filters are user specific , so only you can see your saved filters smart filter in manufacturing plan planeus has a smart tool called the smart filter to help you quickly find related work what does the smart filter do? when active, it filters all projects/orders with the same work steps as the one you’ve selected all related resource groups special rules for assemblies filtering by a main article → shows all sub articles in its assembly filtering by a sub article → only shows that specific sub article removing thesmart filter click the x icon to clear the filter customizing your views planeus lets you tailor your gantt views to suit your needs adjusting columns click the gear icon on the left side of the gantt choose which columns to display on the y axis these settings are saved per user—your view will stay just the way you like it resizing the left panel drag the dividing line to make the left column wider or narrower hover over the line until a resize symbol appears hold the right mouse button and drag left or right sorting the y axis click a column header to sort your rows in the gantt chart overdue work steps planeus can highlight overdue work steps in orange in the gantt chart you can choose to show or hide this orange marker turning off this feature can help improve performance if you have many overdue work steps
