With this function, you can make sure that only jobs with the same requirements are processed together on one resource. Example: EU orders cannot be mixed with US orders on the same machine.

How Resource Programs work

Set up Resource Programs in Configuration

Assign Resource Programs to a Resource in the Resource Master Data.

In the Article Master Data , assign a Resource Program either:

Per Article (applies to all Work Steps of that Article)

or Per Work Step (based on the Resource selected)

If a Resource was not tied to any Resource Programs, all Resource Programs can be chosen.

Rules to remember

If no Resource Program is set at item or Work Step level → the resource can run any job.
A Work Step setting always beats an Article setting.
An Article setting applies to all Work Steps, unless a Work Step has its own program.
The system only schedules Work Steps with the same Resource Program together when a resource handles multiple jobs.
